(Mark my words: Apple will continue to press iPad entry level 2 to $ 399.)

Fresh iPhone/iOS 5 rumors cite Twitter events, vacay days

Tired of speculation about exactly when the iPhone came 5-5 and IOS operating system? Nothing? Well, we still have some hints for you then you gadgiopath incurable.
The Next Web says that the date has come for Twitter a few instances the developer indicates that IOS Apple 5 on or before October 10 release.

And event reports are not limited TNW Apple Developer Program members. This means that participants are not under a confidentiality agreement - so the theory goes, maybe there is nothing yet lay open, with, then all will be from the IBG.
Of course, this fits with a lot of data from previous reports from the early to mid-October at the launch of the iPhone IOS 5 and 5, including a report from All Things D, the announcement of the iPhone five for the fourth day of the month herring.
Another clue is offered today that Apple reportedly told employees at its Apple Stores, that they can not go on vacation during the second week of October (which by AppleInsider). Who will compete with the iPhone-buying hordes of Apple-ites when all relaxing at home, wiping their fingerprints off the iPad?
"The first block [deleted] data - 9 to 12 - could be the release of IOS IOS device 5 for existing owners on Monday, referring to the 10," says AppleInsider. Apple logos in backdrop for Samsung in-store display

Samsung can dispute Apple's claim that he has a habit of tearing the product from Cupertino, but apparently featuring an interior designer has less of a problem with swiping a small part of the intellectual property of Apple. Surprisingly, create icons for Apple's iTunes App Store and some background on Safari for Samsung in the shop this store "display in Italy - despite the fact that both run on Android, Windows or the Bada-based devices.
It makes you wonder if it includes Motorola and HTC logo is hidden by a screen ...
Without a fantastic investigative journalism budget, please allow me, fly to the Italian branch of the questions on the company jet at the time will, I am left to assume one of three things has happened here:
An ad from another mobile promotions and the only remaining truly picky geeks like us and the people at All Things D never make an issue about some of the dreams of small icons to admit only those geeks at all.
2 Samsung has a very underdeveloped understanding of the meaning of the term "product placement."
3 Samsung stalking Apple. It has a Korean factories, nothing but a black sweater and jeans. It also has an icon that Safari tattoo on his ass. And sometimes it's just a mess.
You can decide for yourself what the most likely explanation, but Samsung does not have great success here. Back in 2008, let slip that the version of Safari is to come to one of his old school Symbian phones. Apparently they are "s60 safari" that has several different browsers on the same component-based browsers such as Apple intended, however, mistaken about the company apparently did not realize the concept of trademarks.
Well, at least one mystery to solve here. Perhaps we now know what the background of the ads move to mobile phones S60 Safari.

Samsung 830 SSD review: Fast and not so furious

Even if you get a good offer, solid-state drives still cost significantly more than normal hard disks of the same capacity, and drive, the price naturally one of the biggest factors to determine its value. For this reason, it is very difficult to know without the SSD, how much the cost of speed. However, that's what I have with the Samsung 830 have to do.
While the final product available to the press, very tight lipped about the Samsung is pricing the new SATA 6 Gbps-based SSD, and will not be revealed until the drive for sale in October. To date the company has said that the new drive with SSD prices promises similar to the other at the same rate and capacity in the market and that there are no "surprises" in the final price. So let's just sometimes assume that the drive is about $ 500 for the 256GB version with different capacities ranging from 64 GB to 512 GB will cost more or less very expensive.

Although the above design the next standard 2.5-inch, slim drive is just 7mm 9mm drive a standard in drive or other SSDs more. This means it will fit with ultraportable laptops, and requires a bit of padding with a standard laptop drive bay to work.
Samsung provides a spacer for this purpose in the upgrade kit laptop that is more cost $ 10 and includes a SATA to USB adapter is an external drive as a hard disk, a convenient solution for those who are in the laptop is to clone your hard drive to work on the new SSD. Plug Android phones into iPhone docks with DockBoss+

In my kitchen, we have the Altec Lansing speaker dock large, the host for my iPhone and the kids play "iPod. But my wife was sitting quietly on the edge of the Android phone, unable to interact with the standard docking station, Apple-only 30-pin connector.
The same goes for the car: This is an iPod / iPhone connector in the glove compartment, but no interface for all supported Android.
Enter DockBoss CableJive +, a special adapter cable that Android device from your micro USB port and headphone jack on each 30-pin docking connector or cable runs. This is potentially a killer solution to pair with speakers and a docking port the same car.
The + DockBoss not limited to the Android phone, but can with almost any device with a micro USB port and headphone jack should work. Audio from the latter, the transmission power delivered to the former. In other words, the cable you can recharge your device when using it.
Now the bad news: The DockBoss + cost $ 29.95. That's pretty steep when you consider that most docking speakers have a line-in jack, which is any cell phone or MP3 player can be connected to a patch cable $ 3. Then just connect your regular charger and enjoy the same benefits provided by DockBoss +.
This means that not all Apple Connections (especially cars) are very easy to circumvent. If you have been looking for ways for your Android device on your iDevice accessories to bring a professional, this will definitely do the trick.
Your thoughts? Is this some kind of comfort is worth $ 30, or you think it is a small price to pay for cable - no cable?

Facebook Apps Can Now Embed Content In Your Profile (Again)

If you have been on Facebook for more than a year or two, you might remember it was possible to embed third-party applications in your profile. Initially it is possible to actually embed a widget application on your profile (remember when everyone has a picture of Graffiti?), But they were then relegated to a separate tab because they lead to a MySpace-like chaos. And finally, they were removed from the profile entirely.

Today during his keynote at f8, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has just announced that Facebook applications will be introduced back into the user profile as part of a new Timelines feature (which, as is the case, make your profile look a lot like Tumblr blogs).

Zucerkberg explained that people want to use the application to express themselves on their profiles - but that Facebook should look for ways to keep them from becoming heavy.

That's where the entrance Timeline application will now be able to make a post Timeline that looks like a writing made within Facebook itself (such as uploading photos). We only saw them briefly on the screen, but they seem to fit in quite well without a widget looks like a foreigner. We will update with old photos.

Color Reborn: Fused With Facebook, The $41M Social Photo App Is Back

This is where things could be really interesting. When You Visit with a person (or they create Visit a), which appeared on Facebook Ticker. Anyone who can click on Go to see it and immediately start watching the video stream, without having to jump to a different page or install the Facebook application's color. Click an item in the ticker, and the two then you watch live streaming (and then all of your friends will see it in their ticker).

Which means this video streams can easily go viral. They do not have to (you can restrict your privacy settings so that only the best friends you can watch your Visit), but if a celebrity or journalist wanted to launch a potentially viral video feed on Facebook, Color can be a good way to do that. That is why it is not surprising when the Color says it is currently in talks with news organizations that are interested in having their reporters began broadcasting from the app.

There are still many questions. Facebook has been working on a photo sharing application itself, although it is unclear whether this will ever be released. If yes, then it could compete directly with Color. And then there is a larger question: will people actually interested in new features in the first place? Do they want to live streaming video to a friend, or view photos that people close to them to share?

Vizio Tablet VTAB1008 Strengths and Weaknesses

Good: Tablet Vizio VTAB1008 stand out from the crowd with a size Android tablets a unique, customizable interface, universal remote control capability, and affordable prices.
The bad: Tablet Vizio is not the thinnest, fastest, prettiest, cheapest, or the tablets most up-to-date we have seen, and viewpoints on the screen is not great.
Bottom line: Tablet Vizio makes a big contender for 2010 Samsung Galaxy Tab, but do not have the grace, speed, and features the best of the current tablets.

Vizio is not the first name that springs to mind when you think of tablets, but no company will be dismissed. In just a few short years, Vizio has come to the radar as one of the most powerful players in high-definition televisions using a simple formula of quality products at low prices.
It's a formula that a good game for the tablet market today. Big-name tablets sold in 2010 as much as $ 700 can now be found for half the price and consumers are watching to see how low things will go.
The answer, for Vizio, is $ 299, which buys you a full 8-inch tablet with 4GB of storage and Android 2.3

Sony Tablet S (16GB) Advantages and Disadvantages

Good: The Sony Tablet S goes above and beyond the typical tablet Honeycomb experience by offering an exclusive application, ergonomic design, the PlayStation certification for mobile gaming, video and music streaming DLNA, and the integrated universal IR remote control.
The bad: It's on the expensive side, charging adapter is proprietary, and screen brightness is not what it could be.
The bottom line: Sony to spend some time with a Tablet S, and it shows. Industrial design is clever, and software improvements that are practical and controllable.

Sony's track record in industrial design, hardware engineering, gaming, and media make the best candidate to challenge Apple iPad. One and a half years after the debut of Apple tablet, Sony hit back with a slate of Android 3.2 is bound to turn heads and win some fans.
Price $ 499 (16GB) and $ 599 (32GB), and lack of compatibility of mobile data (at least in the U.S.), Sony Tablet S does not seek to be a cheap alternative iPad. This is the height of the art of making tablets Android, and offers a truly fresh take on the design tablet.

Microsoft Charm

Chew on this: two days after the opening of the developer preview of the next generation of Windows operating systems ("Hands On With Windows 8"), Microsoft filed U.S. federal trademark registration for 'CHARM' words.

Descriptions are provided to the USPTO for the CHARM is a "computer program; graphical user interface software; program operating system".

They have left a chance to grab microsoftcharm.com cybersquatters and windowscharm.com, though, so the filing of a trademark does not mean anything.

Interesting, however, especially given the time. If anyone knows what to cook something in Redmond, feel free to tell us in it. You will make me and this young attractive woman very happy.

Android gets '80s arcade hit R-Type

R-Type for Android will take you way back to the '80s with his classic story line of human-versus-aliens and retro shoot-'em-up style of game play. Since the Android version is more or less unchanged from its arcade predecessor, it is sure to make you feel like a kid again (or adults who were slightly younger, depending on how old you are now).
While there is a rich plot that drives the R-Type, the details are relatively unimportant. All you need to know is that you're piloting a futuristic starship, and your main goal is to shoot lots and lots of aliens. With the help of upgradable weapons, speed-ups, and pods Force, the task would be a blast, so to speak.
But word of caution: if you have never played R-Type before, it is very difficult. With the explosion of an alien sent to your reservoir, sometimes it feels impossible to maneuver yourself out of danger. Fortunately, the Android controls are surprisingly smooth, and let you steer your ship with precision. So that's at least one element works in your favor.
Overall, we are very excited about this pitch-perfect reincarnation of one of our favorite old-school arcade hit. And $ 2.99 in the Android Market seems more than reasonable, considering the number of places we used to drop for R-Type back in the day.

Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death gets sad face :(

"Poor Windows 8 you really fall out, but you're so adorable. I. Just do not be mad at you." It's probably just a reaction to the failure of the operating system when Windows 8 finally reach the masses.

With new LU6200 smartphone, LG keeps pace with Samsung and HTC

After turning out streams of midrange and entry-level Android handset, the LG may be setting its sights on the high end. According to the details of which are found in Korean technology site (translated), an LG LU6200 expected to arrive later this year with specs that rival some of the smartphones out of the Samsung or HTC.
Details for LG handsets are said to include dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 4.5-inch display 720p HD, and an 8-megapixel camera. Sounds very similar to the Vigor upcoming HTC, the phone also supports 4G LTE and is equipped with front-facing camera 1.3 megapixels.
Display technology itself is listed as LG AH-IPS, and is touted as more color-accurate than the super Samsung AMOLED Plus as well as more efficient. Speaking of juice, LU6200 equipped with a 1830 mAh battery that is at the higher end of the Android phone today.
On the downside, given that the set of features including digital DMB TV tuner, do not expect to have a particular iteration of the handset in the United States in the near future. However, as we see, LG has made efforts to release the same device across multiple operators and markets.
Sprint and Verizon Wireless have a fairly strong relationship with LG so maybe we'll see something like this in early 2012. On a side note, which should give them plenty of time to load the Ice Cream Sandwich. Sounds a lot like the LG "K", is not it?

After a disastrous first few months, Research in Motion's tablet Playbook will get a discount.
(Credit: RIM)
RIM Co-Chief Executive Mike Lazaridis said the company will launch several programs to encourage the sale of the guidelines, including incentive programs for businesses, as well as rebates and agreements for transactions for existing BlackBerry customers. Lazaridis did not specify how many companies will offer discounts.
RIM is seeking to stimulate demand for the tablet after the start is very weak. The company reported shipping only 200,000 PlayBooks fiscal second quarter, less than half of the 490,000 tablets that analysts expected. That alone is a weak number.
RIM also will unveil the company guidelines 2.0 software developers at a conference in October, which includes the original e-mail, calendar and contacts - striking features are lost during the launch - as well as players Android app and a video store with 10,000 videos. The software will be available to customers shortly after the conference.
While some of the tablets was lucky, Playbook seems to have done particularly badly.
Lazaridis acknowledged that guidelines were "far below where we want to be," but remained optimistic. He said software upgrades and incentive programs should encourage sales in the third quarter. He said the company will work with retailers to get rid of their inventory.

BlackBerry Torch 9850 (Verizon Wireless)

Good: This slim design Torch RIM BlackBerry 9850 and a sharp display give consumers a level of appeal. Features such as video capture 720p HD, world phone capabilities, and enhanced operating system are welcome. Call quality is good as well.
BlackBerry Torch 9850
The bad: The Torch 9850 suffered from occasional sluggishness, and sometimes the touch screen is not responsive as we would like.
The bottom line: The RIM BlackBerry 9850 for Verizon Wireless Torch is a midrange smartphone commendable, but it faces stiff competition.
RIM is once again making the rounds with the latest line of BlackBerry smartphones, the 9850 Torch headed to Verizon Wireless after the initial launch with Sprint. Torch BlackBerry 9850 marks a milestone for the BlackBerry as handset first full touch screen after a rather embarrassing error of the Storm and Storm 2. And we have said, RIM did a decent effort here. 3.7-inch screen is sharp, and 1.2GHz processor does a good job to improve overall performance. The Torch 9850 also ships with OS 7, which carries a number of enhancements under the hood-like 720p HD video capture, voice-activated search, support for HTML 5, and more. 9850 Torch is also a dual-mode CDMA / GSM phone, which makes it suitable for world-trotters.
As the Torch 9850 for Verizon Wireless has the same design and features such as the one for Sprint, we will focus more on differences in the performance of the software and offers little that Verizon version. For a complete review of the device, please read our review of the BlackBerry 9850 for Sprint Torch.
Software
One major difference between the Sprint and Verizon Wireless version of the 9850 Torch is the software package. As you might expect, the Verizon version of the Verizon phone comes preinstalled with applications and services. They include the VZ Navigator, Backup Assistant, V Cast Music, V CAST Video, V CAST Song ID, VZWTones, and the search for Bing. Many of these can not be deleted. In addition to this application, the rest of the software the same phone with Sprint and the 9850 Torch for other OS 7 handsets. For more information about the BlackBerry OS 7, please read our review of the BlackBerry Torch 9810.
Performance
We tested the dual-band (CDMA 800/1900; UMTS 2100), international quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) BlackBerry 9850 Torch in San Francisco using Verizon's network. We enjoyed a clear call quality on our end, although we found a bit of static occasionally. If not, the caller had a lot of volume and sounds very natural.

Lenovo Essential G570 43342KU Intel Core i5-2410M (2.30GHz 1,333MHz 3MB)

Good: Lenovo G570 Essential costs less than many of its competitors with the same components, but simply displays the famous design quality Lenovo for not feel cheap.
The bad: It's still a plastic laptop, and you can get high-quality IdeaPad just a little more. Limited configuration options.
Lenovo Essential G570 43342KU
The bottom line: The Lenovo G570 is important is a surprisingly good deal for 15-inch laptop Core i5, but offers few frills.
review:
Lenovo offers two versions of an important line of lower-priced laptops. Series B is described as a "budget laptop for work at home or at work," while the G series is pitched as a "laptop every day at a great price." What does it mean in practical terms is not entirely clear, as the laptop Essential B and G we've checked using the same processor 2410M Intel Core i5 and have the same amount of RAM and the hard-drive capacity, they just have different screen sizes and several different designs. Here we will focus on Essential G570.

If you hope to one day take the Super Mario Bros. Nintendo or any other hits on your smartphone app store, the future is not looking good.
Nintendo
In an interview last week with Japanese news site Nikkei, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and chief executive reiterated the company's attitude towards bringing the title to a smartphone than keep the software on its own hardware.

Interest upset in the news in July following the company planned to bring Pokemon Pokemon official application for Android devices and IOS. Smartphone game has seen skyrocketing in recent years, with developers creating low-cost title that can be purchased and downloaded to the device from the store over the mobile network applications. That contrasts with the strategy of Nintendo, which has hired the release of the game's portable hardware which mainly depends on the use of game cartridges purchased from a retailer. New models, such as the Nintendo 3DS, including access to the eShop the company, which allows users to download and buy games, video and applications over Wi-Fi.
