Samsung Galaxy S II for AT&T gets launch date and pricing

Good news for fans of AT & T Android. Carrier just announced via Twitter that Samsung Galaxy S II will be available beginning October 2 for $ 199.99 with a two-year contract.
Galaxy S II boasts Samsung Exynos 1.2GHz dual-core processors, 16GB of internal memory, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with video capture HD 1080p, and the battery 10 percent larger than the first generation model. It also runs the Android OS 2.3.4 Gingerbread along with the latest version of TouchWiz.
AT & T version of the Galaxy S II is slightly different from Sprint and T-Mobile version of which was announced at the same event at the end of August, in that it has a smaller Super 4.3-inch AMOLED touch-screen Plus (compared to 4.5 inches) . The carrier said this is because it offers a 4.5-inch Samsung 4G Infusion and want to offer customers more choice in design.
