Chew on this: two days after the opening of the developer preview of the next generation of Windows operating systems ("Hands On With Windows 8"), Microsoft filed U.S. federal trademark registration for 'CHARM' words.
Descriptions are provided to the USPTO for the CHARM is a "computer program; graphical user interface software; program operating system".
They have left a chance to grab microsoftcharm.com cybersquatters and windowscharm.com, though, so the filing of a trademark does not mean anything.
Interesting, however, especially given the time. If anyone knows what to cook something in Redmond, feel free to tell us in it. You will make me and this young attractive woman very happy.
