WD TV player gets built-in Wi-Fi and Spotify

Western Digital has announced the latest media player TV series WD, WD TV Live. This is the fifth generation of the family of WD enterprise TV network media player - not to be confused with the second generation product with the same name, published two years ago - and it is the first that offers support for built-in Wi-Fi and provides music service Spotify .
In contrast to WD Live TV Hub, which has a capacity of 1 TB of internal storage, the new WD TV there is no built-in memory. This is the same size as WD TV Plus, and is equipped with two USB ports for external hard drive and Ethernet host port to pull content from the Internet or network storage devices.
The new version of the player only has one HDMI port, leaving support for older TVs. This is a good step, because most if not all TVs now support HDMI. The device supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11n standard with data rates up to 300Mbps. This means, depending on the type of wireless router you have at home, can provide wireless streaming of HD content without much delay or buffering time.
